Join us in Healdsburg for a vertical tasting of six Paolo's Vineyard Syrahs, hosted by the winemaker and winegrower, Lise and Vincent. A light lunch will be served after the tasting. Note that ticket pricing is more favorable for Wine Club members.
We've been making Syrah from our estate vineyard, Paolo's Vineyard, for almost 15 years. At this unique vertical tasting of the same wine across different vintages, you'll be able to assess how the wines have developed over the years, maintaining their concentration, balance, and elegance. Delve deep into the Paolo's Vineyard Syrahs with the winemaker and the winegrower!
This first-time ever event provides a unique opportunity to learn how weather, grapegrowing, winemaking, and age affect a wine. We'll be tasting six of the most compelling and interesting Paolo's Vineyard Syrahs we've produced, starting with our first in 2002 and ending in our most recent 2013. You'll learn to identify the commonalities which point to the vineyard's unique signature, the changes that occur as wine ages, and the underlying differences due to weather that year.
To keep the event interactive, attendance is limited to 30 people. Initially, tickets will be available to Wine Club members only. If any space remains, tickets will be available to non-members starting February 7th. Gloria, our cooking class chef, will provide a light lunch afterwards to accompany the wines.
