We'd like to introduce you to members of the Montemaggiore family...

Ciao Alan and Sue!

Home:
Nottingham, England and Alcalali, Spain
(depending on the season)

Favorite music:
When in company and pretending to be erudite, Mozart. When on our own, Pink Floyd or Led Zepplin.

Recent accomplishment:
After 45 years of rock climbing, at the age of 59, Alan has just recently completed his most difficult climb: New Age Traveller at Malham Cove in the Yorkshire Dales. It has a grade of 5.13b (the hardest climbing routes in the world are confirmed at grade 5.15a).

Strange wine experience:
On Rarotonga in the Cook Islands, a small restaurant offered only four wines, one of which is produced 10 miles from our house in Spain. Prior to this we had only ever seen it in our local supermarket. How did it get onto a tiny island 12,000 miles away?

Little known fact:
For many years, Sue has been Vice President of the Trowell Village Women's Institute. Rumor has it that they are coming out with a calendar to rival that of the Rylstone Women's Institute (remember the movie Calendar Girls?). Sue won't confirm or deny the rumor.

Favorite wine (other than Montemaggiore):
Cune Imperial Gran Reserva, a fine Rioja, especially at it's price in Spain.

Quote to live by:
"Act as if what you do makes a difference. It does." William James
